About Me
My name is Michal Ptaszynski, I work as a Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Kitami Institute of Technology, Kitami, Japan. I am engaged in a number of projects, including the development of affect analysis tools for Japanese, detection of cyberbullying entries on the Internet, collecting and annotating a (very) large corpus of Japanese blogs, constructing a sentence pattern extraction architecture, developing an emotionally aware language model, or developing a dialogue agent that understands and aptly responds to user emotions. My research interests overlap Natural Language Processing (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
